"Thanks, Jon. I appreciate it." Maybe this was going to be something other than a complete catastrophe after all. Holden smiled at Jonathan and then checked his watch, just to keep an eye on the time. He knew Jonathan got antsy when he hung around too long. "I have the check with me." He got it out and put it down on what passed for a table in this room. "Make sure you use it mostly for food and school necessities, yeah? Then I'll be back next week. You can call me any time though."
"Goodbye." Jonathan offered plainly as he looked over at his check. Rent and book money, his favourite part of the week. Especially now he got food at school so that was no longer a big issue. He could buy two extra books with that. Holden was great, always gave him what he needed. Which was mostly cash.
