Edward was responsive, because it came naturally to him and because he knew that him being so appealed to a man with Jonathan's interests. There were many ways to flirt, in this specific case having his eyes widen and visibly shivering under Jonathan's touch was an easy one. It wasn't as if he had to fake how sensitive he was.

"Oh, we have a connection. And you are an ass. Look at you, remembering things I say whenever it's annoying and never when I need you to." Edward wasn't all that annoyed, however. He wasn't sure how much he'd needed Jonathan to work things out, but the man did make a good sounding board and he didn't anticipate much bad coming from him connecting the dots.
